Christine Troy has more than twenty-five years of experience practicing exclusively in the area of Immigration and Naturalization Law. She has been interviewed by the Wall Street Journal Digital Network and KQED regarding immigration law; collaborated with President Obama’s Agency of Science and Technology on streamlining entrepreneurial visas; presented numerous seminars on business immigration; and is recognized as a "Super Attorney", an honor given to under 5% of attorneys in Northern California. Ms. Troy finds it particularly rewarding when clients gain a green card or US Citizenship; a start-up company flourishes through having access to foreign workers; international couples are reunited; or she can find a solution that transports a client from where they are now, to where they want to be. She graduated from University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1999 and holds an undergraduate degree in Government and a minor in Women’s Studies from Beloit College.

Jessica Zuniga Immigration Business Analyst

Since November 2018, Jessica has been a valued member of the Law Office of Marcia I. Perez and is our Business Immigration Case Manager for H-1B, TN, and E-3 visas.  Her professional development included a tenure under the expert guidance of Christine Troy at the Law Office of Christine Troy, where she honed her expertise in business immigration intricacies. Leveraging her bilingual proficiency to effectively support Spanish-speaking clients, she also drafts declarations for a variety of cases, including VAWA, I-601A Provisional Waivers, U Visas and other various matters.  Jessica holds an Associates of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology from Canada Community College. Her passion for the field is evident in her appreciation for listening to client personal stories and providing support throughout their legal journey. Beyond her professional endeavors, Jessica values quality time with family and friends, enjoys travel, and explores new culinary experiences in her leisure.

Ilse Rojo Legal Assistant

Ilse has been with our firm since 2021, her professional experience also includes interning in Washington D.C. and Virginia. She is passionate about community service and using her privilege as a bilingual U.S. citizen daughter of immigrants to help undocumented families navigate the complicated residency process. Appreciating the fact she is a U.S. born, first gen U.C. graduate who has been afforded a humbling privilege, she realizes she could have easily she been in the shoes of any of our clients. For this reason she is very mindful and dedicated to  every matter she works on to make sure our firm’s efforts leads to a successful outcome. Ilse is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley (Spring 2024) double majoring in Political Science and Spanish, with a minor in Ethnic Studies. Under the valuable mentorship of attorney Marcia I. Perez, Ilse intends to enroll in law school after her undergraduate education and become an Immigration Attorney for the Law Office of Marcia I. Perez. Outside of work, Ilse enjoys volunteering, going to the movies and trying new coffee spots with her friends.

Maria Cervantes Sr. Legal Assistant

Maria is our Case Manager for Family Immigration, Naturalization, Asylum, VAWA/U-Visas, and Court Matters. She has made a life-long career in Immigration Law and has worked in San Francisco as a bilingual Legal Assistant since 1985. Before joining our dedicated legal team at the Law Office of Marcia I. Perez, Maria worked for her previous Immigration Law firm for over 30 years and brings four decades of knowledge and experience. Her biggest joy is being able to help our clients through their immigration journey from the very beginning stages and seeing the joy on our client’s faces when we tell them of the success of their case., Outside of work, Maria enjoys spending time with her family, especially her baby grandson.

Marcia I. Perez has almost 30 years of experience practicing exclusively in the areas of business/employment immigration law as well as family immigration, naturalization, VAWA/U visas, asylum and removal defense. In addition, Marcia has worked and volunteered at a number of non-profits focusing on family immigration, citizenship, U-Visas/VAWA, asylum, and criminal law. Specializing in particularly complex cases, she has been recognized as a California “Super Lawyer,” an honor bestowed to the top tier of immigration attorneys. Marcia effectively advocates for her clients and has a passion for the law. She finds the greatest reward of her profession is helping families and professionals find a new future, full of hope and possibilities, in the United States. She believes our economy thrives if we encourage the most resilient, the best, and the brightest, from around the globe to contribute to our entrepreneurial spirit. Marcia graduated from the University of California, San Francisco (previously Hastings College of the Law) in 1994 where she was awarded a certificate as a Public Interest Law Scholar with a focus on Immigration Law and holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science, with minors in Criminal Justice and Constitutional Law from San Francisco State University, graduating with distinguished honors.

Nicholas Cregor Immigration Business Analyst

Nick Cregor is the Business Immigration Case Manager for O-1, E-2, L-1A, EB-1, and NIW visas. He brings almost 20 years of paralegal experience to the job with a decade as an immigration case writer. One of his favorite aspects of working with us is meeting extraordinary people doing extraordinary things from all over the world. He possesses a Bachelor of Science in Management Sciences, from Manchester University, UK. When not working on immigration petitions, he enjoys watching NBA basketball, spoiling his dog, and spending time with his family.

Edgar Perez
Translator / Interpreter

Edgar is a professional interpreter (Spanish) with decades of experience working for law offices. Having migrated from Guatemala, he knows the immigration process thoroughly, and from the inside. He is understanding of the plight of immigrants and the long and difficult legal journey that many must make. Edgar has great respect and compassion for the communities that he serves and since the age of 13 has volunteered with many causes that support the rights of immigrants.  Edgar studied at San Francisco State University majoring in Social Work and completed the Interpreter's Program at San Francisco State University.  Outside of work he loves spending time with his family, salsa dancing, and traveling the world.
